Lynda Weston

Ms. Weston, a resident of Mount Vernon, has dedicated a lifetime to education.  She holds a Ph.D from The Ohio State University in Theory and Practice: Children’s Literature, Writing, Child Development and Reading.  For almost nine years, she has served as the Director of Teaching and Learning for Mount Vernon City Schools.  

Ms. Weston has been a member and representative for a number of professional education associations including:

• Ohio Council of the International Reading Association
• National Council of Teachers of English and Language Arts
• Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development
• Ohio Professional Development Board
• Ohio Teacher Licensure Committee
• Association of Childhood Education International

She has also been published in a variety of educational publications and has received several awards for her dedication to education and literacy.  Ms. Weston also has 30 years in-classroom teaching experience.
