Wireless Connection Tutorial

Connecting to the Newark Campus Blue Socket Wireless Network is a simple 3 step process

1. Click on Internet Explorer and wait for the start page to load.

2. A Login bar on the left side of the screen will allow you to log in to your user account.  For information about your user account:

   1. COTC students - use your User Name (YourName-###) and Password are the same as your campus connect PIN.

   2. OSU students - use your Newark campus account information.  If you do not have a Newark campus account, TechConnect monitors (computer lab monitors) in all the open computer labs on campus are available to assist you.  Once your account is setup you will be prompted to change your password.  After your password is changed you can return to the Blue Socket Log In screen.  Your User Name is YourName.# and your Password is whatever you just changed it to.

   3. Faculty/staff - use the same User Name and Password you use to log in to your campus computer.

   4. Campus guests - please click the Guest User Information link above for further details.

3. A small pop-up window (usually in the lower right hand corner of the screen) will appear allowing you to disconnect when finished.

You may now access the web using the Newark Campus Wireless Internet.
