more events, send an email to
helpdesk@cotc.edu and indicate the workshop name, date, time, and
your full name in your message. You will receive a confirmation
email from the Help Desk at least one day prior to the event.

school, and many of us use them at home. Do you know the basics like
attachments, PDFs, email anatomy and etiquette, or screenshots? This
hands-on, non-intimidating, energetic workshop zeros in on the basics to

Creating and Maintaining Your Faculty Web Page
Description:
Did you know that each faculty member
receives their own web page to share class information, post documents,
office hours, etc? Register for this hands-on workshop to learn how to
edit, add to, and maintain your own faculty web page. You will leave
this workshop with a live web page that you can share with students

for Faculty
Description: Have you
discovered what YouTube can do for you? This hands-on workshop will
explain easy ways to utilize the services of youtube.com to enhance
teaching and learning in the classroom.

Carmen (for OSU Faculty)
Introduction to Carmen
Description: This session
will focus on the nuts and bolts of the Carmen Course Management system
including adding documents and content, using communication tools (e.g.,
discussion board and chat), and updating the gradebook. Please note this
session does not include information about online course design or
teaching. Those are two separate sessions offered throughout the year.

Description:
The telCenter is happy to provide customized training to groups
and/or departments on campus. We realize it is not always easy to attend
a scheduled training session or there are unique situations that require

to make arrangements.
ANGEL Learning (for COTC Faculty)
ANGEL Learning: Instructor
Fundamentals I (Beginners)
Description: This two-hour
session will focus on the nuts and bolts of the ANGEL Learning
Management System including a general overview of the content
development, course management, and communication tools. Please note
this session does not include information about online course design or
teaching. Those are separate sessions offered throughout the year.

Instructor Fundamentals II (Advanced Users)
Description: This
two-hour session will focus on advanced uses of ANGEL including the
Learning Object Repository (LOR), content linking, course copying,
report tool, and best practices for using multimedia files in your
course. It is strongly encouraged to attend Instructor Fundamentals I

ANGEL Learning: Using the Gradebook
Description:
This session will focus on how to set up
your gradebook and efficient grading strategies. Participants discuss
and apply various grading schemes using the ANGEL gradebook. Please feel
free to bring your syllabus to this session and get your gradebook set
for your course.

to Support My Face-to-Face Class
Description:
This intense one-hour session cuts through the fat and drills
down on the key things you need to know and do to use ANGEL as a student
resource in your face-to-face class. Please consider bringing electronic
copies of your course syllabus, handouts, etc that you want to post to
ANGEL.
