Taproot is a student journal showcasing the creative and scholarly work from across the disciplines at Ohio State Newark. Taproot comes out yearly, with its print or online editions including fiction, poetry, academic essays, photography, music, poster presentations, and videos. In 2008, the journal was incorporated into the English Department's Literary Publishing course. In class, students learn about the history of publishing and gain hands-on practice by producing Taproot. Participating students do everything from creating publicity for the journal to editing and designing both print and online versions.
