Alice Hutzel-Bateson joined the campus in April, 2005 as Director of Marketing and Public Relations. Alice's role is to direct the department's external marketing and advertising initiatives, as well as its internal communications. She guides the development and implementation of marketing plans and works closely with the MPR staff. Prior to joining Ohio State Newark and Central Ohio Technical College, Alice served as the Marketing-Communications Coordinator at North Central State College in Mansfield, Ohio, where she was the editor of an external newsletter and served as media liaison. Alice brings more than 15 years experience in marketing, advertising and communications to her role, including eight years in higher education. A lifelong Ohio resident, Alice earned her bachelor of arts in communications with a public relations specialty from the University of Toledo. She has been an active member of the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) since 2000.
